So I'm back in London!.. and I've succumbed to the Autumnal weather. Although I'll miss the HK sunshine I am happy to finally be able to whip out my Winter wardrobe. Yesterday, I wore my December Dress for the first time (with my trusty Uniqlo heat-tech polo neck underneath) and I was really pleased I didn't have to iron it, it emerged from my suitcase wrinkle free! I feel more like myself in Winter clothes which is strange for someone who grew up in sub-tropical heat, but I really enjoy layering tights and cardigans and chunky knits. Book of Deer's AW14 collection of dark velvets and cold colours conveniently complements my standard winter uniform of boots, black tights and dresses worn over thermals. Settling back into London life means it's also time to tackle my long procrastinated to-do list. I'll be getting SS15 pics up on the website soon which I'm really excited to reveal to you all, I hope this collection makes you smile! I'll also be starting AW15 designs this week and have several illustration commissions to complete... I'm not too stressed though, with this gloomy weather that has welcomed me back I find myself quite happy to spend all day at my desk drawing. In other happy news, I'm off to Barcelona in two weeks time for the first time ever so me and my boyfriend spent all Sunday planning our itinerary. I really just want to stuff my face but I'm also really excited about being able to admire Barcelona's famous architecture in the flesh. One of my favourite pieces from Book of Deer's AW14 collection is the December Dress. This dusty grey dress is made from a lovely soft velvet and features a rose gold exposed zipper at the back. However, the main focal point of this dress is the hand-drawn print on the bodice. The print depicts a tiny woodland cabin in a fairytale forest, evoking cosy nights spent inside on wild Winter nights. Another season change is upon us and as we begin to wrap up for colder weather our thoughts turn to our woodland friends as they prepare to go into hibernation. For Autumn/Winter 2014 Book of Deer took inspiration from wintery forests and the creatures that inhabit them. Our Winter collection is a sartorial velvet cuddle adorned with embroidered bears and hand-drawn forest scenes. There are literally hundreds of illustrations tagged under 'What's in my bag?' on Pixiv and Topit. I think Japanese girls carry the cutest things but what I really like about these illustrations is the humour that is injected into them. There's no glossing over the fact that us girls carry a lot of junk!

Here's what I always carry in my backpack:

• My HTC One Max- my huge phone and my lifeline
• Urban Ears headphones... they are battered and bruised but I still love them
• My purse containing money, cards and my ID- I really should have graduated to a wallet by now but I love cute purses!
• My Oyster card - A Londoner's essential
• A broken Chanel powder compact, held intact with a hair-tie obviously
• Lipstick - in case I'm going somewhere
• My keys... on a Chromeo keychain. I had a time-turner from Harry Potter studios but it broke!
• Juice - I am terrible at drinking water so I always have some liquid sugar instead
• Tic-Tacs - or other sweets. Limited edition flavours are my specialty
• Nurofen - just in case
• Deodorant - to spray on myself and around me on public transport
• AW13 Book of Deer sweatshirt for when the sun sets
• A book - reading material for queues
• My pen case - for all my favourite ball-point pens and pencils because you never know when inspiration will hit!
