Taipei in a Weekend
As you know, you can't go online on the London Tube, and since Candy Crush Soda isn't really my thing I usually spend tedious journeys scrolling through my phone gallery. I was sitting on the tube admiring my winter holiday pics and realised I never posted about my trip to Taipei, Taiwan. It was a flyby visit, with just 3 days we had to pack in as much eating as we possibly could. I didn't expect to be so taken with Taipei, but I came away with a new-found respect for bubble tea and completely charmed with the tidy cityscape. Highlights were Eslite (24hr bookstore!), trendy Fujin Street, shaved ice from Ice Monster, Line characters everywhere and perfect-temperature teas. It was also a great opportunity to brush up on my rusty Mandarin, although I think we only established that I speak like a child. So here is a little snapshot diary of my time there. Lots of cute stuff and lots of food. All pics taken with my HTC phone which, might I add, is a Taiwanese phone.
Taiwan, I'll be back!
