As someone who has moved around a lot I have learnt to decorate with items that are lightweight and durable...like throws and pillows. At this ripe old age I have only just started to think about investing in home decor beyond posters and fairy lights. I don't know exactly what my interior style is, I think it's somewhere on the spectrum between Anthropologie clutter and Scandinavian simplicity. How to execute an interior look I have no idea, which is why I tend to gravitate towards collecting noncommittal ornaments and prints rather than statement pieces...or basically anything that resembles an animal. I have rounded up a few things on my dream home wishlist... I may not have the budget to collect all these beautiful pieces yet but they will sit pretty on my Pinterest board in the meantime!
Dress-up Vase by nendo
Everyone knows I'm a sucker for a cute collar! Designed by Japanese design studio Nendo, dress-up vases are minimalist vases with Nendo’s signature playful twist. The three dress-up vases make up a family: a heavyset ‘father’, a slim ‘mother’ and a smaller ‘child'. Available from Four&Twenty here
... and they're not too expensive either.
Spool Table by Missoni
This very chic table by Missoni
is meant to look like a spool of thread! I would love to have this in my home and pretend I was a Borrower
Bambi Chair by Rigna
This Bambi chair from Japanese company Rigna is a must-have for any deer lover. It's probably for children but that won't stop me trying to perch on it.
My Treem by Fajno
A concept from Belarus based design company Fajno, My Treem is so much more than a lamp tree, it brings a bit of nature into your home. If I had this in my living room I would build a mini tree house for it and maybe even add a stuffed owl. I could go on and on with my list of coveted interior accessories but why not see my Mori House Pinterest board for more inspiration.
