With each Book of Deer collection, the photoshoot serves as a symbolic closing chapter to a season of hard work and development. I can't tell a lie though, as rewarding and exciting as photoshoots can be I always find them quite stressful. It's the combination of time pressure jitters and sense of responsibility that makes me feel anxious right up until the final shot is snapped. Lucky for me, I always manage to assemble a really wonderful little team. I completely credit my makeup artist Wil and photographer Takao for helping me bring to life an ambience and story I have in my head-- heaven knows I can be incredibly vague in my descriptions! I'm also thanking my lucky stars that I found the perfect model for this season, Paula was cute and fun and perfectly captured the vibe I had in mind for Book of Deer SS14.

I thought I would treat you to a little sneak preview of SS14 before it is unveiled next week.... it's happy and flowery with all the usual hand-drawn good stuff thrown in so I hope you are all going to love it!
