I'm not sure where to start with Mona.. she is more than just a customer of Book of Deer, since Mona first came across my brand she has been so wonderfully kind and supportive that I need only look at one of her outfit posts to feel inspired to keep working.
I can relate to Mona on so many levels, like me she is a massive Harry Potter fan (it's nice to know I'm not the only one who got emotional at Harry Potter studios!) and she too likes pretty dresses and cake, which in my opinion are the only two things worth getting out of bed for!
Mona has posted all her Book of Deer pieces on her wonderfully eclectic blog Curls & Cakes. Her blog not only documents her own personal outfits but also her thoughtful observations and personal experiences. I should also mention that Mona makes her own amazing range of macaron jewellery!
Sometimes when I'm feeling a little uninspired, all I have to do is have a quick scroll through my Instagram feed and I'm immediately reenergised by all the girls who share my penchant for cute, quirky, retro inspired fashion.
One of my favourite IG accounts for style inspiration is Randi Butler's. I love the way she takes modern clothing with a retro twist and styles them into outfits that have a certain 'nostalgic kawaii' appeal. I knew Book of Deer's Country Kitchen collection would suit her perfectly, and doesn't she look amazing in our Peg Doll Dress? Get to know Randi on her blog Milk & Twee, she shares beauty tips and life insights with her readers along with her adorable outfit posts.
A couple of weeks ago I sat down with Timeout HK to talk about Book of Deer. I find face-to-face interviews quite intimidating, I have a tendency to waffle and go off on tangents when I'm nervous. So all things considered, I think this one turned out ok...for the record though, I must admit I am now 26 not 25 *sob* You can read the full article on the Timeout website here
The lovely Kate from Alice & Daisy did a little interview with me and put Book of Deer under her 'Like Styles' section. Alice & Daisy is a site fit to bursting with cool stuff... everything from food to DIY to inspiration. Stop by for a daily dose of prettiness!
